Noele Up Close

The picture was taken with Noele at the top of a tall cat tree on her first evening with the new family. It didn't take her long to get used to the new surroundings.

New Arrival

Noele is the latest edition to the managie - she is the best surprise gift for Christmas 2007 from our daughter. She is an active one, too - expect some videos to appear on the blog in the near future starring Noele.

Dallas for Daughter

Say hello to Dallas, my daughter's new puppy. She brought it over for us to watch while she finished some Christmas shopping nearby. Dallas is a female mix of German Shorthaired Pointer (first pic below) and Rottweiler. He has the black Rottweiler coat with some of facial attributes of the pointer.

Buddy visits his friends at the vet

Buddy the Basset has to visit the vet for a shot once a month. He thoroughly enjoys the visits, despite being stuck every time. The Drake Center for Veternary Care is where we adopted Buddy, who was released for euthanasia by his first owner after Buddy was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency. So, Buddy is always excited to see the folks that saved his life.

Thanksgiving

The family was together for Thankgiving, with the humans being outnumbers by pets (as usual). Used the Flip videocam to capture some of the day in the attached video mix (the Flip software makes it easy to mix the video to a sound track). Hope you like this first movie I've posted to this blog.

Buddy the Basset

Here's our hound dog, Buddy. He is a rescue dog, abandoned at our vet's office because of a adrenal grand disorder. He gets monthly shots for his condition, and is a normal grumpy Basset Hound. Posted by Picasa

Snowy

This was the last Christmas for Snowy, our white cat with eyes of two colors. He finally lost his battle with failing kidneys and general old age not long after the holidays. Posted by Picasa

Theo

Say hello, Theodore.

This is our Teddy Bear. We call him Theo unless he is acting up (which is often). He's just a pup, less than a year old in this picture. Posted by Picasa

California Christmas

Christmas 2006 was a little unusual. Our daughter went on a trip over the holidays, so this scene was taken a few days before Christmas to celebrate a little early. Posted by Picasa
